This is 100% on-site in the Plymouth Area. Salary is dependent on experience but can go up to $110,000. Must have a background in Professional Services Industry.
A growing professional services firm in the healthcare space is seeking an experienced and proactive Accounting Manager to join their collaborative team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone ready to take the next step from a senior accounting role into full ownership of the accounting function in a dynamic, small-business environment.
This is a direct hire or contract-to-hire role based fully on-site in Plymouth, MN. The company offers a unique mission-driven culture, professional growth potential, and a warm, welcoming office (including a four-legged friend who might sneak your lunch if you're not careful).
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee all day-to-day accounting functions, including A/P, A/R, general ledger, and cash management
* Prepare monthly financial statements and reports
* Track and analyze financial performance metrics
* Process bi-weekly payroll and manage payroll records
* Administer employee benefits and maintain HR files
* Support onboarding for new hires and manage personnel documentation
* Maintain accounting and payroll software systems (QuickBooks preferred)
* Coordinate business insurance, IT vendors, and software licenses
* Ensure compliance with federal and state reporting requirements (CPA firm handles returns)
* Pitch in on general business operations and support projects as needed
What We're Looking For:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
* 10+ years' experience in full-cycle accounting (2-year degree and 8+ years or 4-year degree and 6+ years)
* Experience with HR functions and payroll administration in the Professional Services Industry
* Advanced Excel User (Formulas, Pivot Tables, etc.)
* Experience with QuickBooks is a plus
